• Booking information — name, contact details, address, payment details and stay dates when you book Eleuthera or Islay, whether directly or through Guesty (our booking and property management platform).
• Enquiries — anything you tell us through the contact form, by phone or by email.
• Newsletter sign-ups — your name and email address when you subscribe to hear about offers and availability.
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not store full card details ourselves.
• Technical information — basic, non-identifying data about how the website is used, so we can keep it working well.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Take and manage bookings, including liaising with Guesty and Stripe to process reservations and payments.
• Respond to enquiries and provide customer service before, during and after your stay.
• Send marketing emails about offers, availability and news — only where you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
• Keep the website secure and working properly.

Our legal basis for processing is: performance of a contract (bookings), consent (marketing emails), and legitimate interest (responding to enquiries, keeping the site secure).

Who we share it with

We share personal information with a small number of trusted service providers, only as needed to run the business:

• Guesty — our booking and property management platform, used to manage reservations and guest communication.
• Stripe — our payment processor, used to take secure payments.
• Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send booking confirmations, replies to enquiries and newsletters.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We only share what's necessary for these providers to do their job, and each is bound by its own data protection obligations.

Cookies

How long we keep your information

We keep booking and financial records for as long as required by UK tax law (normally six years). Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Newsletter subscribers are kept on file until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your information, where there's no legal reason for us to keep it.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
• Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time — every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.

Children

Our website and mailing list are intended for adults booking a family holiday. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to this policy
