Guest Stories
Two sister houseboats on the edge of Bembridge Harbour — and a thousand ways to spend a stay. Here are a few, drawn from the words of the guests who've already been.

Sunset on the deck
Thoroughly enjoyable stay on a great houseboat in a wonderful part of the Island. Bembridge village is delightful and within easy walking distance. We often walked up in the morning to get fresh bread from the local bakery where the staff were lovely. Parking at the property is opposite (just across the road) and for houseboats only so parking never an issue. Very well equipped if you like to cook (which we do). Also visited Barbosa restaurant in Bembridge which was excellent with very attentive staff. Spent a few evenings on the decking playing cards with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. All in all thoroughly recommend Eleuthera if you’re looking for a relaxing get away from the mainland (or the London rat-race 😉).

A table for everyone
Denise place has Lovely facilities for family groups with open kitchen space, dining and living room. Big dining table and living room seating for comfortable for us to spend time together.
Offered a late check out which was really useful.
Very tidy and well maintained. Good heating throughout and well pressured water pumps for shower. Good Parking Spaces nearby

Cosy evenings together
WOW... what an amazing stay! The houseboat is simply stunning - incredible interiors, great location, wonderful sunsets and super friendly & helpful hosts.
This is my second stay on 'Ele'.. My first was a week in the summer holidays so I was a bit worried about going again in the winter but I was soooo wrong! Not only was it a complete bargain but much to my amazement, we had great weather, everything was open and there was loads to do locally - even for picky teens! The houseboat has 4 lovely rooms so there wasn't any squabbling about who had the 'best' room and even my 6ft 5" son was comfortable in the luxurious beds. There is so much space that we were all able to have our own areas as well as play board games and watch a movie together in the evenings. I found the kitchen particularly well equipped - they really have thought of everything. Outstanding view from the deck, best showers ever, spotlessly clean and stunning interiors. I've already booked to return in January!

A birthday by the water
Thank you for such a fabulous and unique place to celebrate a family birthday. The houseboat is very large and spacious, thoughtfully decorated with lots of local touches. Extremely informative and helpful welcome pack . We loved our stay and, despite rather volatile weather, enjoyed as much time enjoying the stunning view inside and out on the deck!
Short walk into the village for local shops and produce, fantastic coffee shop and bakery both open at 7.30, not Isle of Wight 10am start, brilliant!! Amazing walks around the coast and to the lifeboat pier, 3 fantastic seafood restaurants/cafe. Not that you are far from anywhere on the island by car, this property is on the main bus route and coastal walk.
Would thoroughly recommend for a fantastic experience of living above water and stunning views you cannot get anywhere else.
Fantastic host and gorgeous property.

Mornings on the harbour
Beautiful houseboat - stunning views and totally unique experience for us. Bembridge is a very special place and we loved sitting on the deck looking out.

The tide coming in
We had a brilliant stay at Islay. The beautiful position of the boat in the harbour and the changing scenes as the tides come in and out make it very special indeed. We would love to stay again. The house boat was extremely well equipped with plenty of towels and everything we needed for a great stay. We travelled as a family of 5 with 9 year old twins and a 10 year old. Denise was very responsive when we had a question.

Rosé as the sun drops
Really fun place to stay on the Island. The houseboat is very well equipped, stylish and comfortable. The views across Bembridge harbour are spectacular.
